THANKS

At This Time Of Year, We Give Thanks.

God bless our country, and forgive our President and Congress their transgressions.

God bless our homes , and help the cities to open shelters for the homeless.

God bless our fruited plains, and feed our starving here at home first.

God bless our jobs, and help the factories provide jobs for those with out.

God bless our friends, one and all-- the mighty and the small.

IT'S RAINING

It's Raining

It's raining, it's it's pouring.
I feel like I am drowning!

It's raining, it's snowing.
I feel like I am slowing.

The air is wet, and so am I.
My lungs are tight, and dry.

I cough and wheeze,
No breath will come.

I don't complain,
There is no use .

This is God's Plan,
I must comply.

I do confess,
I sometimes feel sorry for myself.

It's raining, it's pouring.
God' plan is on going.

I am but am small one,
There are many big ones.

The big ones, I must pray for.
I use my suffering for.

It's raining, it's pouring.
God's Love is showing.

Update on Hannah's tooth -- it came out Sunday. It was the first one in and the first one out !!

NEW LAPTOP

My laptop has been sluggish for a long time now. It finally became infected so badly that it died a shuddering death. After 24 hrs and only 100 dollars, it is screaming. !!!!!There are a few things missing, like spell check, but they saved all my favorites. I am much happier on this keyboard. Now maybe will sit down and write again instead of playing games. Although I find that the farm games are relaxing and challenging. There is alot of math and common sense needed. I have only been at it seriously for about 2 months now and I love it.

PAIN

Bad night tonight, My feet are killing me -- diabetic neuropathy!! I have had my med and just have to wait for them to kick in. In the meantime , I blog, play games on the lap top, and listen to music. It's hard to read because I'm not really concentrating that well. I do have some short spiritual readings that I can do. I have read my 2 daily lit installments already. I have read some of the profiles in netlog. Like I said, I just have to wait!!

Hannah's Tooth

As a nurse I know both too much and not enough. I have had my 3 mo follow ups with most of my docs. The bld work is with in normal limits. But I just don't feel quite right. I can't put my finger on it. It's not the naging back pain, or the foot neuropthy. There is a fuzzyness in my thinking and in my body. It's hard to define. My kidney function is down abit ,but that wouldn't acount for this feeling. The bun was high at 59, but I could have been dry.

Hannah is enjoying the freedom of the outside in Wa. She can go in and out at will. Before she had to have an adult with her at all times because of the traffic. She also has a loose bottom tooth. She keeps wiggling it and will have it out in no time. We haven't discused the tooth fairy with her, and probally won't. She said tonight thaat she wanted a balloon with a tooth on it. good luck !!!!

Updates on life

We are home!!!!! After 7 yrs of waiting, Karen and Hannah are finally home in Tacoma, Wa. It was a dreadfully long flight for a 5 yro, but she handled it like a trooper.

Glenns party was a blast. I made cupcakes that looked like graduation caps, and patoto salad. They both went like hot cakes. It got a little cool in the afternoon, so they lit the firepit -- great with a glass of wine!!

It took me a week to recover from the party, then just when I think I can make it to church, Ibroke a toe on my right foot. I banged it against the night table, which weighs a ton!! I guess I will be slowed down a little longer.

Today was the big day. Glenn graduated from Becker College after 4 yrs of nights and summers busting his hump. We are all so very proud of him!! Nathaniel and Roslyn were there to cheer him on as he got his bachelor's degree in business administration. I think he has done very well considering his base line was trade school education.Next weekend, his friend Cathy is having a cookout for him. The whole family is invited. I have volunteered to help with food and what ever else I can. It should be a lot of fun!!

Karen

I have an update on the departure date for Karen and Hannah. They are leaving Heathrow May27 th, instead of the 21 st. It seems that a friend that works with Donna, Karens friend, donated all her extra air miles to her. Now that's an Angel!!!

Karen has a schedual for empting her apartment, and getting rid of the extra clothing and stuff. She says she is on time, but she is like me, a procastinator!!

EASTER

Spring has sprung!! I have been making like Betty Crocker since Feb. I made a very tart lemon bunt cake with frosting SO tart that only Dana could eat it. We had to scrape it off!! then I made a green confetti cake with lemon frosting for St. Pat's Day. then I made a Humming Bird cake with some bananas that said " use us, or through us out!!" I put cream cheese frosting on this cake. Finally, I made a chocolate cherry cake of my own design. This one came out a little dry, but looked great ! It was all good therapy for my wrist . I still find it difficult to do dishes because of my back, and sweeping the floor is done in three sections. I was able to get to see my Mother on Easter along with the rest of my family. That was nice, except I found out that Emily was laid off after 18 yrs at the same job!! That stinks!

Updates on wrist

At last my cast is off!! I have started physical therapy twice a week, and made progress already. There is far less pain now than when I started.I still have a problem with being tired all the time. I guess that is just my body trying to heal.I can do most of my house work, lift most of my books, have made a cake, and started a baby sweater for Cathy's daughter.

ANGELS EVERYWHERE

Karen has been blessed by an angel!! She an Hannah had stayed up to watch the fireworks New Years Eve, Hannah made it all the way. The next day they went for a walk to the park to work out the kinks, and when they got home there was an envelope under the door. It was marked to K and H from your angel. When Karen got in and opened it , it contained 300 pounds!! That is enough to get Hannah's passport, register her birth certificate, and have her photo taken. The American Embassy requires travelers checks in dollars which will eat up about half of the gift. That is why so much money was needed. She plans to go to Edinburgh sometime this week, but Jeff should be with them to verify his signature. She has contingent plans so there will be no hang-ups. This is too important to Hannah's future.
